Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 4, 2026

JigBoard ("JigBoard," "we," "us," or "our") provides scheduling, job tracking, and shop management software for job shops and custom manufacturers. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to our website, web application, and related services (together, the "Service").

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Account information. When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials. Account creation and sign-in are handled by our authentication provider, Clerk.

Shop data you provide. In the course of using the Service, you and your team may enter business information including customer names and contact details, jobs, quotes, machines, materials, suppliers, purchase orders, schedules, comments, photos, and file attachments (such as drawings or CAD files). This data belongs to your shop and is stored so we can provide the Service to you.

Payment information. If you subscribe to a paid plan, payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full credit card number — Stripe handles card data under its own privacy policy and PCI-DSS obligations. We retain subscription status and billing metadata (plan, renewal dates).

Integration data. If you connect a third-party integration such as QuickBooks Online, we store the authorization tokens needed to act on your behalf (encrypted at rest) and exchange only the data required for the feature — for example, creating an invoice from a completed job.

Usage and log data. We collect activity logs within the Service (for example, who updated a job and when) so your team has an audit trail. Our infrastructure providers automatically log technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested for security and reliability purposes.

Bug reports and support. If you submit a bug report or contact support, we collect the information you provide, along with the page you were on and your browser version, to help us diagnose the issue.

2. How We Use Information

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your shop data to advertise to you or anyone else, and we do not share it with data brokers.

3. How We Share Information

We share information only with the service providers we use to operate JigBoard, and only to the extent needed for them to perform their function:

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of our users or others, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (in which case this policy will continue to apply to your data until you are notified otherwise).

4. Multi-Tenant Data Isolation

JigBoard is a multi-tenant service. Each shop's data is logically isolated using database-level row security so that one shop cannot access another shop's data. Members of your shop can see your shop's data according to their role. If you share a job link or customer portal link, anyone with that link can view the specific information it exposes — you can revoke these links at any time.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription or delete your account, we will delete or de-identify your shop data within a commercially reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it for legal, tax, or accounting purposes. Backups may persist for a limited period before being overwritten in the normal course of operations.

6. Security

We take security seriously. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Integration tokens are additionally encrypted at the application level. Access to production systems is limited. That said, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) or the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to know what personal information we hold about you and the right to request its deletion. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below.

8. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies that are strictly necessary to operate the Service — primarily session cookies for authentication. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for business use and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. International Users

The Service is operated from the United States and data is stored on servers located in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by a prominent notice in the Service before the change takes effect. The "Effective date" at the top of this page shows when the policy was last revised.

12. Contact Us

If you have questions about this policy or how we handle your data, contact us at support@jigboard.com.
